Released, Mad then Sad.

The Midget and I were released yesterday after three long days in the slammer. We didn't like it at all. The prison warden forced us to play with the other inmates, and some of them were big and mean. A big, old bulldog tried to hump Midget...poor little chihuahua girl. We didn't have one visitor the whole time we were there. We waited and waited and waited for one of our humans to stop by, but no human showed. We were hoping for a cake with a little surprise in the middle, but that didn't happen. We were MAD! While we were incarcerated, this is where the G's were resting. So they said. This is the Simpson House Inn. This is where they stayed. It was built in 1874, so its an old house. They went wine tasting in Los Olivos.
They stopped at a beautiful park. It's the Alice Keck Memorial Garden.
And then they.......I am having a hard time even saying....I am embarassed by my humans....they played with other dogs?? Now we're really MAD.
They played with a fish too.
And a duck.
And another duck.
And a turtle.
Then something sad happened. They went to the beach and this is what they found. It' s called Arlington West and it's a Memorial to the US troops that have died in Iraq. Each cross bears the name of a dead friend or loved one.
Look at all the humans that have died for our country.
This human died when a car bomb exploded near dismantled patrol in Baghdad. We must never forget the true cost of the war!
So now we're not that MAD but a little SAD that all those humans died to protect our country.
Dog country.

I would have been mad too! how dare our humans play with other dogs especially when they have you locked up! Poor little Midget...I'm sure you were a good big brother and protected her!

That is a sad ending...Its true, we must never forget.

I didn't understand either.
They lock you up then go playing with other species like you guys were not enough fun.
Poor Midget, I hope that experience didn't traumatized her long.

It is very sad that humans have died fighting each other. I'd like to say dawgs would do it differently but a bad dawg attacked Libby and caused her to lose her leg. I just hope that the humans stop fighting VERY soon and come home to their dawgs and loved ones. We will never forget.

What a beautiful Inn. At first I thought you were going to say it was the jail you were forced to stay in....but no, the humans got the good inn!
That is a good trip your humans had. It is sad how many have died to protect our county.

Hi Rambo
I'm glad you are free from your confinement. Looks like your parents had a good trip except for the sad part. You must never forget.
Love Ruby
PS. How would you tell someone you liked them?

Were glad you were busted out of the joint... I'm sorry you didn't get any doggy ice cream there.

Looks like your parents had a wonderful trip! Although with a sad ending, but it is important never to forget. Service men and women give up so much for our safety.

Woof Rambo,

Great post, we're sorry that you and Midget were locked up while the humans took a vacation. Is there no justice in the world.
Thanks for posting about Arlington West. No matter if you're a Democrat or Republican we should always support our troops.

Hi Rambo & Molly. That is very sad indeed. Bet you guys are glad you didn't get to go see that now huh.

Though all of those places your masters went looked like they'd be dog friendly. Of course you can never be too sure these days.

We're glad you finally got released and it looks like your hoomans had a great place to stay! Whenever our pawrents go away, they cavort with other doggies too! Sooooooo not fair! Just this morning, our dad picked up a little Yorkie that had gotten out of it's house. It was running like mad, down the street. Mom stopped the car and they both got out to chase the doggie. Dad caught it and gave it to the man who had accidentally let it out!

Rambo's Mom,

Instead of putting the gold paw in as an image from your computer, put it in as a link.

Cut and paste that link into your gadget, delete the picture and it should blink for you. It might be easier to delete the original golden paw gadget all together and then add a new one. I'll check back to see how you did!
